Evidence (Amendment) (No2) Act 2012

In the last seating of Dewan Rakyat & Dewan Negara, The Evidence (Amendment) (No2) Act 2012 was passed. In which a new set of rule has been amended into (Section 114A) has been inserted into The Evidence Act 1950.

Being a semi-ignorant Malaysian, I always don't bother about whatever Acts that the government has decided and fixed, knowing that Malaysia Government is very caring and nice to the people. The set of laws approved usually brings benefits to the rakyat, thus ensuring Malaysians to live harmoniously.

However, since last night (31st May 2012), I saw some of my friends mentioning about the new amended act. Which content as below:-

This eventually means that....

First and foremost don't get me wrong. I'm writing this neither to support nor to condemn this act. I'm writing this to send a note to all my virtual friends, especially bloggers, facebook members who are critical in voicing opinions to be more careful and vigilant when posting something on the internet.

As a first step to avoid any trouble with the law, we should:-

Monitor and moderate the comments in our blog. (Which I will have to set it later).
Monitor and Delete any seditious remarks/post that anyone post on your Facebook Wall. (Which means you have to have a smartphone/tab/note that will notify you incoming posts on your wall so that you can delete any unwanted posts written on your wall)
Warn your family members/housemates that if they post any offensive stuff you will break ties with them. Before that, write a memo and stick to their room doors. Otherwise, ask them to get their own WiFi / Internet.
Resist yourself from clicking the "Share" button no matter how true the offensive statements are. Perhaps clicking "like" is acceptable.

On the bright side, upon reading the terms of the new act. A lot of mischievious deeds pop up in my head. With this law, i can tweetjack, jack, facebook-jack anyone to sabotage anyone. HAHAH..The law actually protects this kind of deeds.

Anyway, whatever it is. A law is still a law. Going against the law, normally brings chaos. Like people say "di mana bumi dipijak, di situ langit dijunjung", meaning that wherever you go, you have to adapt to the place's rules and regulation.

Freedom of speech has reached a new meaning in Malaysia. It's THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU TYPE, and FEAR after that.

Little Things That Make You Happy

My cousin, Yvette brought me a wall decal sticker for my house. And initially everyone was giving me this expression o.O when they ask me where I wanna put in on.

My reply was epic "Here also can, there also can.. this sliding door also can, my room also can"

and they look at me, -__________- "

Since then, everyone ignored me.

*Sad*

But such kind of response will not dampen my determination to get the wall decal done. I strategize and plan, and work my ways according to Sun Tzu Art of War. First, I need an ally...I scanned through the hearts of my housemates with my cockeye. Yes, found... seems like TianChad is the kindest of all.

And so i managed to persuade TianChad to entertain me and help me stick the decal. It is difficult. The decal is rolled into a big sticker paper and we have to reorganize and rearrange the patterns and little stickers into something nice.

In just 3 minutes time, I have given up and abandoned TianChad alone in the quest of putting the decal up. My beloved sister, Yi Wern, pretended she is invisible and played with the rabbits.

Then XerOz who cannot stand the decal being unaligned, came to help TianChad. Due to such, I have nothing left to do except helping to make sure the decal is properly placed and aligned to the center of the wall.

Phew..what a tough job. Just as you think that everything is complete, the decal fell off. HAHAHA *sorry for laughing* We kept remove and re-stick the thing that the glue has worn off. So had to use a hair dryer to do the magic sticking job.

Such a happy day, when I see all the birds chirping on my wall. *LOVES*

This is one of the little things that makes me happy =)

My New Fujitsu SH771 Lifebook!

Ohaiyooo!!!
Forgive me for being lost in action for the past 10 days. Well, I'm alive and kicking, but had been unwell. =( ~~blame the bad weather~~

And so here I am, wanting to share more about the new Fujitsu laptop that I had won. =)

I am not very familiar with Fujitsu products, and to be frank this is the first item I ever had from Fujitsu. Whenever I mention Fujitsu, usually it comes with two types of responses;

a) Expensive brand.

b) Good quality

I don't know about Fujitsu's quality but I think this is an expensive brand as well. Hehehe.. Nonetheless, I'm now finally fully using it and experience quality of the laptop myself.

Initially I wanted to sell it off, but seems like it is quite pricey and I wouldn't want to let it go dirt cheap. Market price is about RM4.5k ++, and my intention is that I would sell it at RM3k (autowin). Seems like nobody wanna buy it, so I decided to use it for blogging. I have not activated the warranty and stuff hehehe.. just installed Mozilla Firefox for blogging purpose only. So RM3k offer is still valid if you want to buy it.

p/s: Reason of selling it off because it happened that 2 weeks before getting this Fujitsu SH771, my boyfriend XeROz bought me an Asus Laptop.

Let me summarize on why i start to love this laptop so much.

1) SUPER LIGHT. I can carry it wherever i go with 1 hand (without much energy) only.
2) THIN, but with optical drive.
3) SMALL but fast, and not hot too!
4) NICE exterior look.
5) SHARP screen.
6) CLEAR and solid audio.
7) SMOOTH and silky exterior skin.
8) WTF LONG LASTING BATTERY power. It charges very quickly and can be used for about 8hrs watching korean dramas.

First and foremost, let me apologize if i made u look like this o_O. I'm not a tech-geek, and i dont know how to compare specifications, performance, durability and strength test on this lifebook. I'm a girl, and i do comparison as I see it.

Seriously, having this is really like my dream come true. When I found out that I had won a laptop, i kept praying for it to be a good, acceptable spec. I never thought it would be this GOOD!
THIS IS THE IDEAL LAPTOP for normal usage (as in business, and blogging purpose, not those hardcore gaming/graphic design stuff).

Comes complete with Windows 7 and those basic stuff. Even the charger provided is light-weight *like*

The more I use it, the more i fall in love with it. This SH771, is totally in different league than the ASUS that XerOz bought (RM2k). But since he installed Diablo III and was hooked into that game, he occupied the ASUS and I opened ceremony on this SH771 Lifebook.

Now that I have a laptop, i wish that i can continue joining contests and enjoy doing things that i love most. I hope that I can have a camera so that i can continue more actively in my blogging activities...

A HOME IS WHERE YOU REST YOUR WINGS *like*

A home is what everyone should have. Like me, being away from home since 18 years old make me yearns to build and create a lovely home for myself. Last year, I bought a small place that I can call home...

From surveying the house, paying deposits, getting bank and legal matters sorted, I went through the whole process with a totally new experience.

I also get to choose my desired paint colours, furniture and light fittings... At that point, it was the happiest shopping spree EVER!

It's even happier when the TV reception is clear and all is well! Even rainbow shines upon my new home.

The slap to reality is when the UNIFI guy came to fix my internet. He said HyppTV have a few HD channels.

*turns to my tv*

"Oh, It's OK, You can't see the difference here," he said with a smile.

And hey, whats wrong with my TV?

Then it hit me... Everytime when the TV is ON, people will doze off and eventually turn it off and go to bed! NONE of my family members would turn the TV on for more than 2hours!

WHY?

BECAUSE MY TV DOESN'T BRING ANY EXCITEMENT!

When we watch action packed film, no excitement
When we see National Geographic, no expression. Not even intimidated by snakes or sharks.
When we watch horror movie, THE BLOODY GHOST DONT EVEN LOOK SCARY! Even a flying cockroach frightens me more than that!

I'm doomed.. I'm doomed... I think I have lost my senses.

Marvel's The Avengers - Avengers Assemble (2012)

Marvel's Comic The Avengers

The wise once said that, "too many cooks spoil the broth", meaning that too many experts doing something, they may end up messing it. Well, it just turned up otherwise for Marvel's The Avengers (also known as Avengers Assemble in the United Kingdom).

Seems like The Avengers wave hit world wide and even crushes box office the Hulk-style! It was reported this morning that the worldwide haul for The Avengers estimated to be a staggering $641.8 Million!

So, let me share my humble opinion of The Avengers (2012).

The Star-Studded Casts:

Robert Downey Jr as Ironman / Tony Stark

Chris Evans as Captain America / Steve Rogers

Chris Hemsworth as Thor

Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow / Natasha Romanoff

Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton / Hawkeye

Mark Ruffalo as Dr. Bruce Banner / Hulk

Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury

Synopsis (The MsXeRoZ's Version):

The story begins with Loki (adopted brother of Thor, a God who was banished in the movie Thor), meeting a freak-looking alien race Chitauri and made a pact with their leader, The Other. The Chitauris wants the powerful energy source, the Tesseract, while Loki wants to rule Earth. So Loki emerged in S.H.I.E.L.D's secret research laboratory, destroying it in the process and fled with Dr. Erik Selvig (researcher) and Agent Brenner. Knowing that Earth is in the brink of devastation, Nick Fury tries to get hold of the superheroes. Collaboration doesn't seem to go well because each heros have their individual egos; A man in his superior iron suite, A God of Thunder, A Super Soldier, and a Green Monster..Hmm.. a disastrous combination all by itself. One thing led to another and the Avengers must overcome their differences and work as a team.

The Uummmph factor:

Humour - Rather than portraying these superheroes as serious, no-nonsense type of person. The Avenger's brings loud laughters in the cinema.
Chemistry - With 4 BIG, muscular guys together, the first thing that would come across my mind is WWE Wrestling. However, the sight of Thor, Captain America, Hulk and Ironman together is very refreshing and i like how they argue.
Can't Get Enough of Them - After watching the movie, the next thing that I told myself is "i will watch again".
End-Scene - The strategy of placing the end/final scene after the credits is really good. Besides diverting traffic to the exits of the cinema (sarcastic), it makes us crave for more actions in the upcoming sequel.

I don't know how, or why i would want to do No.3 (Referring to The Uummph Factor No.3) but i just know that I want to see The Avenger's again. Any of you here feel the same way as I do?

I may be too late to post a review, but I enjoy the hype of The Avengers that fans created over the internet, such as....

Oh ya, so do you know what's coming up in the final scene? Who was the creature that The Other was talking to?

He was talking to Thanos, the most evil, and scariest villian ever created (lol i exaggerate this). Well, I am just a recent fan of Marvel's The Avengers, so yeah, Thanos can't scare the wits out of me. But for Marvel heroes fans, the mention of the word T H A N O S will cause their eye to bulge in fear. Yups, thats the deadly aura that Thanos possesses.

Unfortunately, there's no indication when Avengers 2 will be released. But I heard (read, literally here) that Ironman 3 will be out in May 2013, followed by Thor 2, and then Captain America 2.(This is so unfair, where is Hulk 2?) Well, will Spiderman come to help in the not-so-soon sequel? I hope that they can bring forth the release of the Avengers 2 because I can't wait for more!

Another hero is also coming to town in his Batmobile, yeah, I'm talking of The Dark Knight Rises.

So, do you still have space in your heart for Batman???

All I can say that I had put all my heart and soul into this.. and I was so erm..anxious...for the Fujitsu Redefine Impossible Contest results to be announced. If you didn't know about it, check out my previous blog post HERE.

And I kept pressing F5 (Refresh) at my facebook page. Even the F5 button gone faded due to my aggressiveness (LOL jk) and my fingers were all cold due to anxiety...

I jumped and yelled!! YAY!! I'm one of the two 1st Prize Winners.

[Contest] Redefine Impossible by Fujitsu Malaysia

Today is April 30th, and every body i know is in holiday mood already because its PRE-labour's day today.

Today is also the last day of voting for Fujitsu Malaysia's Redefine Impossible Facebook Contest that I am participating. I really would like to win the Grand Prize because at this moment, I do not have any PC/laptop. Everyday, I have to blog or surf the web illegally using the office PC, or at home i have to beg my sister to let me use her PC. It's really troublesome!

With the 2 units of laptop as inspiration and motivation, I participated in the contest and here's my entry:-

If you ask me why a teleportation device?

The place I live currently undergo massive destruction of beautiful old trees for the construction of LRT. My heart aches everytime i pass this road. The LRT extension plan was very well received by the people, however, the sight of trees being chopped off for development really bring tears to my eyes.

Places in USJ Kewajipan, Bukit Jalil, Federal Highway and the KL city all suffer from working hours traffic jams. Time being wasted, frustration and stress eventually rise.

I used to have a lake beside the condo, but now, it is filled with a BIG, high tension electric cable.

Not only that, we also had to endure the noise pollusion and dust from the construction.

I hope that I can win a laptop so that I can spread more ideas, and maybe one day, one of my ideas may be able to redefine the impossible.

Bersih 3.0: It Should Have Been A Peaceful Protest

I was following up closely with the Bersih 3.0 ~~so-called~~ peaceful protest. The mission of this protest is to gather and sit at the grounds of Dataran Merdeka (Merdeka Square). But since the court has ruled that Dataran Merdeka is banned, so the instruction is that the people march as close to the Dataran Merdeka as possible.

I am very disappointed and sad. It was a very emotional day for me, to see the rakyat of Malaysia rise up.
I am sad to see that the Opposition Leaders using Bersih3.0 as one of their political tool and give speeches.
I am disgusted to see that people chanting about Datin Rosmah and other offensive words.
I condemn those selfish radicals who broke into the Dataran Merdeka barricade and triggered the police actions.
I pity the others who attended the protest for a good cause.

I almost saw a tiny ray of hope on Malaysia. Now, my hope is shattered.

Bersih 3.0: Tips & Guidelines for Safety

Dear friends and fan (LOL, if any),
I know that most people intend to go for the Bersih 3.0 Peaceful Protest tomorrow. Well, some go for the reason of free & fair election, some intend to go for photography, while some, intend to join the crowd due to peer pressure. But I'm also certain that some will go, just because they are anti-government.

Whatever reason it is, make sure that you have one thing etch in your head -

SAFETY FIRST

At the 11th hour, the government has "kindly offered" a venue - Stadium Merdeka for the protest. The Bersih 3.0 organizers decline, not because they dulan or lansi, but because it is unlikely to change venue at the last minute. Without a doubt, i dare say that the government are trying to confuse the public, as a first step to make sure this Bersih 3.0 doesnt go smoothly.

As expected, today's headlines are all about Bersih 3.0, and how the government "warns" the public who are joining the protest that police will take action if the protest is held in Dataran Merdeka - (source: Bernama). Also, take note that roads to Dataran Merdeka will be closed off to public for 48hours-( source: Bernama)

So, whatever it is, THIS IS NOT A FUN FAIR OR CONCERT. THINGS MAY GO WRONG. STAY VIGILANT!

Here's my hints & tips for the peaceful protest:-

NEVER GO ALONE. Go with a bunch of trusted friends.
INFORM YOUR FAMILY. Never make them worry and have their blessings.
USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT. The roads are closed, and you dont want your car to be damaged if anyone runs amok!
EAT before you go. It's 2pm, have your lunch and make sure you have enough energy.
WEAR SPORTS SHOES. No slippers, high heels.
WEAR PANTS. No skirts please. If possible, get a pants with the zipped pockets so that you can put your IC, and enough cash to go home.
BRING CAPS. If you sit under the sun for 2 hours (2pm-4pm), it's good to protect your head.
WEAR SUN BLOCK.Don't let the UV Rays destroy your pretty skin.
SMARTPHONE with dataplan -so you can tweet, twitpic, and Facebook the updates for us.
SALT. For restoration of dizziness and useful if encounter tear gas.
WET/DAMP hand towel. Place it in the plastic bag.
DRINK SUFFICIENT WATER to avoid dehydration.
GO TO TOILET for "big and small business" before you head for the protest.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, DONT FORGET YOUR DEODORANT! You surely don't want to make people faint before the protest actually starts right?

When you have arrived at the area,

IDENTIFY LEADER and FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS
DON'T STRAY FROM GROUP.

During the protest,

DON'T PROVOKE or RUN AMOK when being provoked.
DON'T chant REFORMASI or TRANSFORMASI (Hello, this is not a political event). Chanting BERSIH is acceptable.
USE YOUR DAMP TOWEL if you are being teared gas - find a clear space to breathe. Run against the wind & don't go near the canister. Swallow some salt and wash your face.

After the protest

CLEAN UP the rubbish around you.
GATHER UP all your friends.
THANK the leader and give everyone a pat on the shoulder for such a good job.
HEAD HOME safely.

WORSE CASE SCENARIO:-

If you are being stopped by the police, remember to stay calm and ask whether are you arrested? If no, just walk away (dont run). You are only obliged to give 3 info: Your name, IC & Address.
If you are being arrested, call someone to inform, and ask for the reason for your arrest.
Once in the police station, ask for a lawyer. Do not talk too much or tell grandmother stories because what you said can be use against you in court.

Adidas King of The Road 2012 and WTF!

I participated in Adidas King of The Road 2011, reluctantly. And this year I asked some one who is blood related to me to help me register, because if i'm not forced, i definitely won't bother to walk or run 10km early in the morning. Sorry, no thank you.

But due to peer pressure, and Adidas King of The Road sounds so nice, i decided not to be one of the social outcast and participated. And this person, who is blood related to me, helped me to register.

So, practically, here's what KOTR 2012 all about.

So wordy right, let me summarize it in one sentence:

Wake up in the morning and walk around Sunway Pyramid via NPE, and be tired, hungry and go home with jelly legs.

So, after filling up your personal details and complete your payment, you will receive the confirmation emails: 1 for payment, another from the organizer.

Then you check all the details that you have keyed in to avoid mistakes. I'm very meticulous about details because accidents or deaths can happen. And I want the organizers to know who to contact when it happens.

But I realised that....

There's a brainless git who wants me to run about NPE, 10 f*cking long kilometers with the name BUNNEH IS FUNNEH!!!!

HOW EVIL CAN A PERSON BE?! How can she torment me with this humiliating name, and mentally torture me knowing that BUNNEH is sleeping soundly at home and I have to wake up for this race!

With my criminology skills, i conclude that the UnSUB (Unknown Subject), is a person with huge sense of humour, bushy eyebrows, funnily dislocated eyes, with eyebags bigger than beanbags.

Yea, good guess...i have a photo of the UnSUB too!

ERM...since theres no turning back. If you see me during KOTR 2012 on Sept 9. Do, pat my back n say HI.

BERSIH 3.0 - Introduction

For those people, like me, who is ignorant about BERSIH 3.0, please give yourself a BITCHSLAP.

I was an avid supporter of Bersih 2.0 last year, anxiously waiting for tweets and facebook for updates with photos and videos. Please forgive me for being a coward, hiding behind the screens of my computer. My parents were intimidated by the government reaction towards what we call as a street protest. So, my parents made me promise not to bring my sister out to the rally. However, I do, wholeheartedly support FREE, FAIR ELECTIONS.

However, with the Bersih 3.0 being a controversial agenda again this year, I didnt had the time to read and study about whats it about. Until today, then i realised that Bersih is going to take place THIS WEEKEND ( 28 April 2012). Therefore, I have to take part in spreading what Bersih is all about.

BERSIH - Coalition for Free & Fair Elections, is a coalition of non-governmental organizations with the aim of revising the current electoral system to ensure fair elections.

First and foremost, how many of you here are registered voters?
How many of you here care about the elections?
Do we care whether the elections are done in a free, fair way or the votes are being tempered?

We cannot anyhow support without understanding. Thus, it is important to understand and know your mission,
are you supporting BERSIH because you are anti-government, or,

If you have been following me on Facebook, you'll find that lately i'm actively sharing about my entry in Dream Vacation, Go Holiday with Veet Contest.

So, you may wonder, what is this contest all about?

As its name mention, yeah Veet is rewarding Three(3) contestants to their dream holiday! Well, this contest involves 3 simple steps:-

1) Snap A Photo with Veet Products, Submit and Choose whether you want a City Getaway or Island Escapade! and Tag 3 friends that you may want to bring along!

2) Get people to Cheer on your Photo from 16th April to 7th May.. Of course, the more Cheers, the better!

3) Await the Results on 28th May 2012!

And so, here's my entry!

Well, I chose to have Island Escapade- Pangkor Island Beach Resort, + Relaxing Spa pamper session. Vacation is incomplete without my BFFs -

a) TianChad, my favourite photographer + blogger that can help me snap my vacation photographs! Good photographs = indescribable memories.

b) Wern, my sister that deserves this vacation as much as I do.

c) ~~Baby Seng~~ Rachel, because she's so adorable.

I wrote a long slogan that supposed to rhyme, but, errr...the whole thing turned into an essay due to the Organizer's Apps. But nonetheless, my actual reason that I longed for the Island Escapade is because I had never been to Pangkor Island for more than 10 years! To be frank, i have no memories of being ON Pangkor Island!

I love Islands, especially islands of Malaysia. It was a secret (that i kinda made it public today) that i dream of going to all islands in Malaysia before age 30. =) And my dream honeymoon island would be Sipadan or Mataking Island in Borneo.

[Review] Bu Bu Jing Xin @ Scarlet Heart

Bu Bu Jing Xin (步步惊心), literally meaning "Startling Surprises at Each Step" is one of the best Chinese (made in China) television drama that I've watch. Since it's a good day today, I'd like to do a review this, and hope to spread the goodness around =)

[MsXeRoZ's Summary]
BBJX is a period drama (Qing Dynasty) with plot that revolves around history (with a dash of fiction), romance, conflict and politics. The story began with a modern girl, in an argument with her lover that she met an accident, plus being electrocuted at the same time. Unknowingly, such fatal combination had her travel across time and ended up in Qing Dynasty, as Ma'er tai Ruoxi. Confused, she has to adapt with the changes and live a life totally different from the present time. With her sister, being the concubine of the 8th Prince (YinSi), Ruoxi was introduced with the princes and eventually have to make it through the palace selection. Ruoxi used to be a vocal, free-minded lady from the future and has no qualms on voicing out what's on her mind. Her attitude has attracted the princes, who some started to like her for her uniqueness. Eventually Ruoxi has to come to terms with the changes and realizes that she may not be able to return to the future. She adapted and embrace the culture of the Palace, knowing that a slight mistake could ended her life. Knowing about history of the Qing dynasty isn't helpful. She knows about the bits of how KangXi reign ended, and the collision of the princes. 8th Prince (YinSi) tries his very best to protect her and keep her safe from the evils of the palace, and eventually they both fell in love. At the same time, 4th Prince (Yinzhen) was attracted to her. Knowing that Yinsi will lost in the battle of the throne, Ruoxi warned him, without knowing that it was her that sparked the begining of the conflict. . .

It was a 35-fun filled, additive episodes and it will be 375 pages long if I ever to write a full summary on this TV series. In my humble opinion, this series is successful because of its well-casted roles.

Cecilia Liu Shi Shi (刘诗诗) as Ma'er tai Ruoxi

Nicky Wu (吴奇隆) as 4th Prince Yinzhen (whom eventually become the Emperor YongZheng)

Kevin Cheng (郑嘉颖) as 8th Prince Yinsi

Lin Geng Xin (林更新) as 14th Prince Yinti

Yuan Hong (袁弘) as 13th Prince Yinxiang

These are the selected 5 characters that were the core-actors that made the storyline flow so beautifully. Throughout all events and circumstances, the princes grew up with Ruoxi and would protect her from the harms of the palace, and they all loved her. As romantic as it is, I find it "troublesome" for a girl to be loved by almost everybody. Emperor Kangxi loved her (as a daughter), 8th Prince loved her, and she returned his love, but as fate twist and turned, she find herself in love with 4th Prince. The notorious Crown Prince also requested her hand for marriage, and at the end 14th Prince found out that he loved her too! *GOSH*

It's not the love story that enthralls me, but the emotions conveyed by their love, especially 8th Prince & 4th Prince. They convey their emotions by the body language, and eyes. On the surface 8th Prince seems humble and nice, but every actions has a secret intention. While 4th Prince seems cold and furious, but deep down, there's a warmth to his heart.

A tinge of comedic moments also enlightens up the plot. The casual relationship between Ruoxi and 10th Prince are really comical. And also the BFF relationship she has with 13th Prince was fun to watch too!

With the captivating storyline, i cannot stop my self but to finish up 10 episodes at one go! The plot keeps you asking for more, and you felt as though you are living in the era too!

But as it reaches episode 20++, it starts to feel a little draggy. The only setback that I feel disgusted at 8th Prince that he fell in love with his 16 years old sister-in-law (which is a taboo and paedophile!). I also dislike the fact that 80% of the princes fall in love with her. Come on! The palace have tonnes of pretty ladies and they all just land their eyes on her? *GOSH* And while all the princes and eunuchs felt fearful on Kangxi, i felt that Damian Lau is too cute to be feared (maybe because of "The Rippling Blossom"). I don't feel any DRAGON EMPEROR aura from Damian Lau.

My favourite character will be 14th Prince. He's young, handsome and very thoughtful. He stands up for what he feels its right, and he has more relaxed emotions of a man.

Other than that, it's really a beautiful drama, with nice costumes and scenery. I read that BBJX 2 (based on modern story) will be produced, and i hope they retain the same casts!

If you think that you can't watch this movie because it's chinese, you can watch the good quality english subs from VIKI.COM. There's also an english novel translation blog called BuBuJingXinEnglish (but incomplete). Thanks to all the avid BBJX fans who shared the love of the movie and contributed in the English Subs.

Golden Palm Tree Iconic Resort & Spa, Bagan Lalang

The Golden Palm Tree Iconic Resort & Spa, located in Bagan Lalang (Selangor), is one of the most exquisite resorts surrounding Kuala Lumpur. I was fortunate enough to be invited for a 2Day 1Night weekend getaway. So, here's my story on my short vacation.

Arriving to Sepang Gold Coast is quite easy, because there's a lot of signboards directing you to the location. However, I must have missed the hotel guests parking area because I parked under a shady tree (and felt elated for having found such a perfect spot). Me and XeRoZ walked in and we were stopped by the security guard.

"Hotel guest?" he asked. We nodded. "What room number?" he asked again. "We dont have our room number yet, have not checked in". "No No, Sir, you tak boleh jalan masuk. Kena duduk Van!" his gestures were agitated and kept pointing to the other direction.

"Tak apa, kita boleh jalan masuk", we replied. "Boss, you parking mana?" he asked again. We pointed under the tree. "Tak boleh tak boleh...hotel guest kena park sana" he insisted us to move our parking.

I felt that our conversation with the security guard is funny. The good thing, is that, he cares for his responsibility and that he's doing his job. Such simple questions make you feel that you are a guests and your safety and comfortableness is all that matters.

It was about a few meters walk under the heat that I realized that the security guard is right. We should have sat the shuttle van provided by the resort. Nonetheless, upon arrival, the avid photographer TianChad welcomed us with snaps of photographs!

The Lobby/Waiting Area was pretty impressive with open air concept. It is not air conditioned, but really cooling with the natural breeze. Welcome drinks are also served while waiting for the room to be ready. Perhaps it was a peak season (school holiday period) that the hotel is packed. We were placed to wait for our room to be prepared. We were delayed 1hour 45mins from check in time! (minus marks for impression LOL) Anyways, I went to the Reception to check out on the status of our room, and realized the Golden Palm Tree has one issue - despite having spacious waiting area, they have very small reception counter. It's really pityful to see so many staffs packed in the small area trying to prepare room cards, maps, and explanation to the hotel guests on the activities available. But they are really nice and friendly though!

Thankfully, as luxury as it is, we are transported to our rooms - Canary Palm Villa (nice name!) via buggy! We thought of walking to our rooms, but when i asked for direction, the staff in charge was very concern of our well being, and told us it's very far (well, thank God for his advice!)

We arrived at our Canary Palm Villa with a pleasant surprise!

(Perfect recipe of a good hotel room)

The Canary Palm Villa consists of 2 bedrooms (1 Queen Bed & Twin Beds) & 2 bathrooms (One with bath tub, and the other without).

There's a small living area, with basic items such as television, desk, mini-refrigerator, telephone and magazines.

Did I mention that our villa is located just next to the Gym? *Stalk Mode ON*

There's also 2 balconies(one for each room) that are nicely decorated - with props perfect for photography! Here are some of my creative poses!

The Golden Palm Tree Resort is ideal for sunset moments. With the low tide, you can hang out with all the mini creatures lurking on the muddy seabed =)

This is really a good ambient for honeymoon, couples vacation, and family trips as there's lots of beach activities for family, but at the same time some peaceful romantic space with your loved ones.

My stomach was growling in hunger after the sunset. And we had our dinner at Bila-Bila Buffet Restaurant, which opens daily until 11pm. The food looks great!

But to be honest, the only setback of the Golden Palm Tree Resort is the food (Seriously honest). I was pretty impressed with almost everything (except the wait during the check in), and when I tasted all of the food served during buffet, the only thing that tasted normal is the potatoes.

My disappointment are as follows:-
a) Flies in the Air-Conditioned Lounge
b) Not many varieties of food.
c) Not enough seats (during packed season).
d) The tables are not cleared immediately, which is a sore eye for guests (with flies around).
e) Food are left opened (desserts, sushi, and fruits)
f) Food are tasteless and bland. (the chicken is very hard too!)
g) Plain water are not served unless requested.
h) Not enough waiters & waitresses that you have to wait 5mins for a glass of plain water or refill.
i) Not many varieties of drinks in the all-included-package. You have to pay for other types of drinks.

I felt sad for the food there.
Anyways, I didn't expect breakfast to be good and I was right. Yups, so after breakfast, my weekend getaway ended.

This time, we sat the van out!

When I was preparing for this blog post, I did sit down and think for a while...I realized that I haven't been looking at myself properly at the mirror for a long time....

And so I browsed my collection of old photographs and I found a pretty cute, but disastrous sense of style.

I used to enjoy dressing up like that during my fun, university years. It was then, when me and my friends (people of that era), used to wear bright coloured tops that reflects of our happy and joyful lifestyle.

But at that age, nobody would judge you on what you wear. I began to wonder, I have gained so much throughout these years - financial independence, full freedom as an adult, life experiences and many more. But, what is that i lost?

I lost not only my youthfulness, but also my fashion sense. And so I began to hunt to search for someone that I'd like to see myself as - NOT as a copy cat, but as an individual who need to find what I want to be looked upon as. My own SELF.

I've finalized my dream dress from Zalora too! I love this Short Lace Dress with Low V Back from mydressroom because it's just what i feel comfortable wearing. The design, is simple, yet classy. Bright red for my bubbly, over the rainbow characteristic.

Heads will turn and all eyes will be on me. This low V back design accentuates the curves behind. Well, who says only the front can be sexy???

Okays, now I have a dress. And dresses, most of it, doesn't come with any pockets. So, i need to grab myself a handbag! I don't know why but i have a fetish on white handbag with buckles. White is a universal colour that we can use to match practically every colour of clothes we have. This handbag is ideal because the size is just right. I don't have to bring many things with me - A handphone, keys, lipbalm. YEAH!

So, next is a pair of shoes. I have penchant for heels, usually 3-4 inches high. Well, I would love to try heels higher than that. I also love glittering stones on my heels. Well, i have a pair of feet that has visible veins, and my skin colour is quite dull at my feet. So, its quite hard for me to find beautiful heels because I need those that can distract the view of my ugly feet. If you see my shoe cupboard, you'll find most of it is either, pumps or peep-toe - which is boring!

I find myself head over heels with this Alberto Gozzi! Perfect heels height, and good placing of gems that would cover my veins.. =) *LOVESSSSS*

These 3 items would complete my makeover. Sweet, Simple & Stylish!

So now, i'm running for RM1,500 worth of make over from Zalora Malaysia.

Battle of The Breakfast Set: McDonald's, KFC & Subway

My facebook is swarmed with the latest promotion by KFC & McDonalds Breakfast set this morning.

McDonald's Malaysia has launched the all new Chicken Muffin, with a very attractive price of RM2.50 (ala carte), which means that you have to pay extra for your coffee or tea (unless you dont drink). But from my past experience, processed food from most of the fast food outlets will make you so thirsty and you naturally will get yourself a drink. =)

Promotion starts on 9th to 22 April, and limited at 4 orders/receipt. Since i'm writing about this on 5th of April, it's obvious that i havent tried this chicken muffin yet. But if it's really RM2.50 (+6% government tax = RM 2.65), i will give it a try next week =) ~~Since I'm also so kedekut, i will tarpau from drive thru and make my own FOC coffee at office~~

On the other hand, KFC has proudly announced their breakfast set which looks like below.

There's two types of set; A (2-3pax) RM18.90 (+6% government tax = RM20.04) & B (3-4pax) RM23.90 (+6% government tax= 25.34). From the poster, the breakfast looks very mouthwatering, filled with varieties of food. There's no indication whether this set is a permanent deal or a limited time only deal.

My humble opinion on this breakfast deal is that it's too heavy for a normal human being ~~although i think KFC food portion is usually for illustration purpose only. Bear in mind the food displayed in poster is like 50% enlargement from the original servings~~ And as a matter of fact, i wont spend RM20 for breakfast, although i can share it. Anyways, i always felt that KFC is pretty expensive for fast food. But anyway, this is a good solution for parents who couldnt prepare breakfast for kids, then they can head for drive thru and hand this pack to their kids for school. Ooohh...i bet the schoolmates will be envious! Anyway, i'd give it a try next week as well, if i can find some people to share with me =)

There's a hidden breakfast gem though, but i'm not sure whether all of you knew about this. Subway also has its breakfast set, but i cant remember its RM6.30 or RM6.50 (+ 6% tax complete with coffee or tea (non-refillable). I used to have it every week when i was working in Kota Kemuning. Light, filling and healthier compared to the above choices.

As a person who is always on the go, i find that McDonalds are very convenient, affordable, and the food standard is always on par with expectations. My favourite McDonalds' set would be McValue Meal Spicy Chicken McDeluxe (RM10++ with drinks) but i find that now the portion has been reduced, although the price remains. This could be due to the yearly inflation & cost of raw material increasing. However, I still think that its reasonable. McDonalds are also fast & efficient in serving the customers, and clean. The current renovation, makes us feel confortable in dining there.

KFC on the other hand, has been critisized and faced a few backlash on their promotions and outlets. I'm sure that i'm not alone in encountering problems with KFC. Put their food standards aside, their service is rather bad too. The cashiers are too slow, often playing a fool behind the counters or kitchen. I've encountered some slow poke, or some too playful they would talk and laugh so loud that it's rather disturbing. Mind you, we are not in mamak stall (no offence, but mamak stall is suitable for that meriah environment) . The staff needs more motivation and training. Despite having limited menu, KFC staff can also make careless mistakes by giving us wrong orders. The tables and chairs are also well arranged or cleaned in some outlets, giving us a greasy, disgusting feeling when we sit and dine there. Also, I would suggest KFC outlets to change their hand wash area water taps to sensor based because their tap head is so greasy and the sink sometimes is stucked. Oh ya, have you ever take a peep at the soap dispenser? There's only 1 word to describe it - GROSS. Price wise, KFC has no competitive edge as well RM10++ for Snack Plate and no refills of drinks. I don't know about others but i think i always need a refill because after dining, we can hangout and chat with family and friends in the outlet.

On Subway, i think the price for non-promo (non Breakfast or Sub of The Day specials) are quite high. I mean, who would pay for a 6-inch sandwich for RM12++ with no drinks? That's why i would always take the opportunity to grab the breakfast or sub of the day. I dont know why, eating Subway makes me feel much happier. However, some outlets are manned by slowpoke staff, which is quite annoying. Because you could see all the ingredients in front of you, but u move like a low battery robot, i really dislike that attitude. Because they do it 1 by 1, a slow worker will make the queue so long and people will become fed up of it. I hope subway can offer free refills too!

I don't intend to cause any friction between these three fast food outlets. I just want to write down what i felt and how i remembered their services and food.

[Contest]Oral B Malaysia Brush More, Smile More Contest

I was never borned with a PERFECT lips. My lips are far from what you can describe as BEAUTIFUL. I was born, with a defect- I have a larger-than-life-black-pearl called MOLE on my upper lips.

I am ugly.

I was teased for having a "tahi lalat" on my lips.

It was a mental torture.

I curse and swear, not to God for giving me this mole. But to the person who created the malay word for mole, which is tahi lalat. TAHI LALAT literally means FLY SHIT.

I was humiliated for having FLY SHIT on my lips. Strategically located at a place which practically ever - On my lips!

Anyway, i grew up a normally, with above average intelligence (self-declared), loved by both parents, and sister. ~~i doubt my brother loves me but nevermind~~ Also, who says mouth got tahi lalat cannot have a boy friend? *NAH, ambik ni!*

As bitter as it seems, i am confident with who i am. If u remove your focus on my big mole, you can see that i have a neat row of white pearly teeths, which is as tidy as those books arranged in the library. LOL

I just participated for fun, and i just found out what the prizes are today. :P It will be great to have win the Travel Voucher worth RM5000, and Oral B products is really useful for me.

Every body is born with different strengths and talents. Like me, i have a defect, i'm ugly, but i held my head up high walk this life.

Play with your strengths, and your strengths will help you overcome your weakness. Focus, and aim your arrow at what you targetting, but first you need to know what you want in life.

Otterhound - The Most Endangered Dog Species..

I was reading my usual dose of world news (www.dailymail.co.uk) today and it was reported that the most endangered dog species, which is in the brink of extinction looks like this....
My first reaction was....

OMG SO CUTE!!!

This species of dog is even rarer than a white rhino & panda-the Otterhounds. There are about just 1000 of them in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD. Gosh... unbelievable!

It was said that Otterhounds are extremely popular last time and is used for otter hunting. This highly explain why Malaysia dont have this dogs. HAHA.. Well, i think it's kinda weird that ever since otter hunting was banned, the popularity of this dog plummeted straight into the endangered species category. Is it really hard to take care of the Otterhound?

I was actually wondering, how a cute dog was trained to hunt otters until i saw this photo....

*JAW DROPPING*

Ok this explains it all. The puppy, as cute as they were, will grow up into a strong, fit and big size dog. No wonder it can be trained to hunt otters in the olden days!

I love dogs, but at the same time, i'm afraid of dogs. Especially if it stands on its hind legs like the photo above.. *scary scary* As much as i fear those dogs, i think it is a very intelligent being and should not be left into extinction. After all DOGS ARE MEN's BEST FRIEND.

At the same time we are racing against extinction of our animal and plant species, we should not neglect our pet animals as well. If we intend to rear one, make sure we have the sense of responsibility for the health and wellbeing of the animal. I truly condemn pet-owner who do not bother to clean, bathe, feed or cuddle their pet. Don't rear if you can't commit to the responsibility.

Have you met a woman molester?

Have you felt as though being raped by someone's eyes?

Have you experienced someone standing so close to you that you can smell his/her stink breath?

Have you met someone who have multiple personalities; tomboy, ahsoh (old aunty) and woman?

Have you encountered someone who sweats so much and have occassional body odour?

Have you converse casually with someone and that person speaks to you SO LOUD that it hurts your ears?

If you HAVEN'T encountered any of the above i would like CONGRATULATE you. You should go to the temple and pray for you have a lucky and fortunate life.

If you HAVE experienced any one of the above, CONGRATULATIONS to you because, you only met ONE of such person. Which for me, is still bearable...

If you (LIKE ME) have experienced ALL of the above, then i wish to shake your hands and let you know that IT'S OK. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

I know. I know many people would curse and criticize me for publishing this post. But my patience has been running low on its capacity already. Well, if it happens during my teenage years, i would definitely be very furious and frank and "don't friend" that someone. But years passed, I have grown up, able to think what is appropriate and what is not.

It so happened that lately (within these 6 months), i encountered someone that fulfills all my criteria stated above. I always go out with her with a group of friends. Let me name her as MSK. The first impression that i had of her was, she's like a LOUD SPEAKER. Well, it's ok. Some people are naturally loud. It was due to their upbringing and surrounding environments. I still remember that during our first few encounters, MSK doesnt like to speak to me. As a new addition to her group, she tends to just ignore my words during the conversation, treating me as an invisible soul. Well, nevermind, some people have difficulties in adaptation of new member in an ecosystem.

Next, i was informed by a close friend that MSK likes to stare at her. I thought, maybe MSK had this weird habit of staring at someone else when thinking. But it isnt so. She likes to stare at you, with a weird lovey dovey eyes. She looks at you from TOP until BOTTOM, and she pays extreme attention to our cleavages, boobs and ass. That's freaky. There were a couple of times we caught her mentioning other people's cleavage. And she particularly came to tell me that Mr. XXX (another male colleague) has been staring at my boobs, which, i feel is not true, because the one i sensed staring at me WAS MSK!

There's also incident where she likes to lean so near to our ears and speak in a coyly shyful manner. Soft and gentle. But when her "ahsoh" personality emerge, she forgot to be shy and gentle and instead speak near our ears like a LOUD SPEAKER. The sound pollution is still tolerable, but sometimes an extra tinge of body odour makes me wanna puke. Imagine i had to hold my breath because she was freaking smelly! She's really sweaty!

The highest level was physical touch. My good friend told me that one day, as she was walking to the pantry, MSK GROPED her buttocks and brush brush! She immediately sprint away, and the incident has awaken us to how extreme this MSK has turned to be. MSK has this habit of touching us when she talk. Even if we didnt talk to her, she would place her hands on our hands (whichever available), and stroke it, annoyingly ask us "WHATS THAT? WHATS THAT?". In some careful scenario, we would often keep our hands away from reach, so that she cannot touch us. But seems like MSK had discovered other body parts to touch - Shoulders, thighs, and newly added in the list, waist. Today, i had lunch with her again. Out in broad daylight, i was talking to my friend and she suddenly interrupted us. I retaliate and she suddenly HUG ME at my waist, "illegally" place her arms between the gaps of my arms straight to my waist. I was so disgusted that i hop out and almost cursed and swear! "DONT touch me, the weather so hot!"

This is crazy! I dont know what stunts she will pull but i'm getting more and more pissed off already. I tried to understand people by behavioral analysis but understanding one's behaviour doesnt relate to adapting to such behaviour. From her actions and speech, i can conclude that she's a person who is highly LOA (LACK OF ATTENTION). She speaks loud because she wants to be heard. She touches because she wants to be noticed. She stinks coz she didnt bathe (sorry, this is not behavioural analysis), but maybe she wants to ~~attack~~ attract people with her smell. GOSH!

What should i do? *runs to toilet and cry*

Today I'd like to share some beautiful photographs that was captured over the weekend. XeRoZ (Jian) & I have been together since 2005. It's as though God has planned everything for us, we studied in the same university, have friends in common, but we met through MSN (live messenger)... everything just sailed and happened. Gosh...time passed...

It happened that TianChad & RedButtockz Wern invited me and Jian to Golden Palm Tree, Sepang for the weekend. Without further introduction i think you can already guess who is photographer. =)

I find that it's really difficult for me & XeroZ to be in lovey dovey mood. Our serious shots are all "weird & stiff". Doing natural poses, and mean actions are what we do best.

My thoughts on 5-Year-Old Nurul Nadirah Murder Case

I haven't been reading Malaysia news lately. It has been quite a relief after stopping myself from reading 90% filled nonsense on our country's political agenda. I've been reading a couple of blog, and worthy news shared in Facebook when I saw Jai Ramlee's blogpost on the discovery of missing 5-year old kid, Nurul Nadirah. Unfortunately, she was found dead...burnt to death...

Being an avid fan of the drama Criminal Minds, i find myself being flooded with questions:

Why would a random person kidnap a 5-year old girl? Is this person an opportunist kidnapper-murderer? psycopath? or has been aiming for her?
Is the unsub a male or female known to the victim?
What is the unsub's motives? Kidnap for ransom? or kidnap because she resembles some person the unsub thinks?
When was she murdered?
Why the unsub chose to burn her? to hide the time of death?

It might be very insensitive to be thinking about all these questions. But it has deeply troubled me that the society has been getting more and more dangerous. Why has it troubled me? Let me share with you my childhood stories.

When i was very little, i would linger alone around my kampung house. When my parents or grandparents needed some groceries, i would walk about 150m to the shop. I was about 5 years old. When I have enough pocket money, or found shillings, i would walk there and buy myself an ice-cream too!

When i moved to Ipoh, i couldnt accustom to sitting bus home from kindergarten. My house is about 300m away from it, so on my 1st day of school, i walked home. On 2nd day, i was made to stay put after class to wait for the bus to come. On 3rd day, i walked home again and tell my mom that the bus is late, i'd rather walk home. (p/s i didnt know she had paid the bus fare)

At age 6-8, i still help mom by going to get sundries like eggs and so on. In the evenings, i would run to the play ground to play as well.

I'm not boasting on how smart i was. But i remembered that my parents would be worry if im out of the house too often and told us there were dangerous people lurking around. However, i find that during my time, i can see other children playing around and helping parents get groceries too. Everything stopped when my mom and I witnessed a woman and her daughter being robbed at brought daylight! It was then that everyone feared to walk the streets because the snatch and robbery occur so often, that the neighbourhood has turn to be unsafe.

Then someone who claims to be a genious introduced the concept of gated community. Gated community is actually a solid evidence the failure our police system is. The police cant ensure our security, and so we have to form our own gated community. This has added our living cost because 20years ago, there is NO SUCH THING as security fees. And for all i know, gated security guards have to have "connections" with the police so that if there's any incident, the police will "try their best" to come a.s.a.p. And you know how connections are formed *sarcastically roll eyes*

I'm not implying that the murders, kidnapping and whatever crime in Malaysia is caused by incompetent parents, policemen or the victims. They cannot be blamed solely because our SYSTEM is failing the society, causing the society to be SICK. As to add salt to the wound, the failing system is managed by an incompetent government. Oh, so that's why the system is failing huh?

And you are blaming technology for causing kids to be obese, and lazy. Blame who? Its dangerous to go out, stay home and play your Ipad...

2012 "Creative" Last Minute Valentines Day Gift Preparation

Valentines Day can be eventful for some, and moment of sorrow for others. The singles will be hoping, couples will be celebrating, while parents will be worrying.

Like Christmas, Valentine's Day can be quite torturous, especially when you didnt know what to get for your boyfriend/girlfriend. For me, i usually didnt want to get him anything because he will feel guilty if he didnt buy me anything in return. @.@ (Just love me more, u fool!)

But for 2012 Valentine's day, i was so bored and thought of getting him a present. It was spontaneous...

I thought of smuggling this box of stuff to my luggage before we depart to Phuket. But when he came back, he said "give me see!!!"

To be honest, i am born with 10 ladies fingers & 10 dirty toes. Despite being a proactive supporter of recyclable, reuse and renew items, the word GREEN does not practically exist in my genes.

Mom gave me her cutest, easiest to plant, house plant to place in my home. Within 4 months..

it died.

Thank god i took a photo of it =)

Amen plant! Erm, mom, do you have a backup plant for me? Your bonsai is dying too!!!

p/s you should see my aloe vera and pandan.. they look very pathetic!

The Unsuccessful Resurrection!

Gosh, this gonna be one hell of a wordy post. It has been quite some time since i write. Well, I was thinking and planning on continue reviving my blog, but seems that things doesnt really work well. I dont have a PC. Intending to buy one, but lately there's no extra budget for me to purchase anything that amount (T_T). Since there's nobody in my office I can say that updating my blog once in a while is harmless. However, since my previous blogpost, I was banned with messages like "limited connectivity" by my company system because they claimed that I used too much "connections". I'm still startled by their explanation, thus, nonetheless it practically means that i have to control my internet usage or, the system will limit my connectivity.

Which, if happens will cause me to die a horrible death due to boredom.

I couldn't resist writing today. As I write this, the sound of the fax machine keep "POOOOPPP, POOOOOPPPP" so damn annoying... I urge fax machine manufacturer to change the "engage warning tone" to some nice melody like Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata or even some Jay Chou songs!!

Office life is practically mundane. My kinetic energy has been suppressed. Everyday i try NOT to do routine job, thus I slot in some toilet breaks in between to do some important business. One thing I realised that if I do filing, and people disrupt me, I will feel tense because I cant remember which part I filed. So please DND when I'm doing filing. HAHAH... Gosh if life goes on like this, without expressing my thoughts, then I definitely will grow up to become a AUNTY! *trying my best to avoid it*

Friends has been fantastic! Supportive and super funny! It has been 4 years that we continue to meet up almost everyday, one day twice or thrice. I wonder whether if any of us get married, will our friendship change? Well, my best friend just got proposed last Valentines Day but this is for recording purpose and I'm not gonna elaborate on it (because I know she reads my blog LOL).

I did join several contest and I hope I have the opportunity to write about them here. Since purchasing the house, my budget is so constrain like a bad case of constipation. But bak kata pepatah "bersusah susah dahulu, bersenang senang kemudian". With the astronomical property price, I dont know how young couples gonna make it. I thank God that I managed to seize the opportunity and bought a value for money condo last year! Namo Namo~!! Nonetheless, now i have to work harder to increase my pocket money and I hope Lady Luck will stand by my side and go through this hard time with me!

Okays, enough babble for now. Time for me to clear the junk on my desk~ Muackz~
